Kuipers makes a lot of photographs as part of her research and working method. The photographs are of things or situations that are related to her current artistic practice.

Most of these photographs stay on the background of her practice but some turn into actual works.

In her photographs Kuipers is interested in how she can manipulate the meaning of what is seen on the photograph. She likes to direct this view into an ambiguous image that drifts between reality and fantasy. A selection of these works is presented here.
